Kathy finally came home yesterday afternoon. For Kathy and I December was a month of health emergencies, and hospitalizations. Kathy was hospitalized twice, spent a week in rehab after each hospitalization, and we both had covid. Thankfully Kathy had a rather mild case and remained relatively symptom free. Me? I was sicker than a dog for about 3 days before I began to feel human again.
She has a large rigid boot that goes almost to here knee and fastens with 7 Velcro straps to stabilize her fractured ankle and allow her to bear weight on it and walk. She has an orthopedic appointment tomorrow to address her injured knee. We will be busy with follow-up appointments for the next few days and weeks. She has to follow up with her primary care doctor, the pulmonologist, as well as the orthopedic doctor.
Then there are MY appointments that I have gotten behind on. Dentist for cleaning, eye doctor for exam and new reading glasses if necessary, Podiatrist for steroid shot in my foot for Plantar fasciitis, and I need to schedule a cardioversion to shock my heart to remedy atrial fibrillation.
It looks like the calendar will be full and the upcoming weeks may become a bit chaotic with appointments
Here is hoping that the new year brings good health and happiness to us all. Happy New Year!

Glad to hear Kathy is back home & feeling better. I had one of those boots for 6 weeks when I broke my ankle back in the day. I use to drive with it on even though it was right ankle. Probably wasen't supposed to do that but you can't always rely on others. You do what you have to do. I hope the New Year brings healthier & better days.
