Happy Thanksgiving to you too Chris. We have Kathy's nephew and his girlfriend here for a week and they are cooking dinner for Kathy and I tomorrow. It will be nice to smell the smells of the turkey cooking, and here the clatter of dishes and pots and pans, and not have to be involved in the dinner prep or clean-up. I hope you enjoy your day. I am thankful for great friends and family. We all have much to be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. We will be going to Chittenango where brother-in-law Tom & wife Jo-Marie will have a feast prepared. After 2 knee replacements and a bout of sciatica, Barb should be parade watching but she is insistent that pies need to be made. I tried to arrange everything so that she could remain seated while baking.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Low profile today plus stuck at home with no way to get to Walmart! You won’t believe how many calories Americans consume this day Americans take in 3,000 to 4,500 calories at their Thanksgiving celebrations, according to estimates by the Calorie Control Council.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Had dinner a short time ago which was fantastic. About an hour from now I'll be headed to my sister's for coffee & dessert. If I have room.

We had the privilege of sitting out the cooking and prep process. Kathy's nephew Jim and his girlfriend cooked dinner for us. They got carried away and it was a true feast, but way more food than 4 of us could eat. It was a real gift for Kathy to be able to relax while someone else did the cooking.
12lb turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, French style green beans, candies yams, squash, and a fruit salad with assorted fruit, mandarin orange segments, mixed with Cool Whip. The leftovers filled every Rubbermaid refrigerator dish we own and then some. The fridge is stuffed to the doors. Tomorrow I will have to divvy it up and portion it in vacuum sealer bags so Kathy and I can eat it over a period of time. We are preparing to sit down now for dessert. Pumpkin pie or Pistachio cake with whipped cream frosting. The bathroom scale will probably moan when I step on it tomorrow.
It has been a busy week. Jim and Deb got here last Friday and since then Jimmy tore all the framing off both garage doors where the termites had invaded. We replaced it all with treated lumber. He did all the little chores that I can't do anymore, like crawling under the kitchen sink and installing a new tall kitchen faucet with a pull down sprayer (Kathy has wanted one for quite a while.) He re-built the ball valve in the Delta shower mixing valve. He was going to put down the vinyl plank floor in the kitchen but with the other projects to be done he is going to come back in January on his way to bike week in Daytona and do the kitchen floor. Tomorrow we will replace the door and framing around the personnel door to the garage so I won't have to lose all my heat from the woodstove by rolling the overhead door up and down.
He is like the energizer bunny. He has to be doing something all the time. This afternoon when we were done with the doors for the day and Debbie was busy cooking, I was resting. I went back outside a half hour later to find him washing the motorhome and scrubbing the awning. He is sure a blessing.
