I have the geek squad coming to get the home theater system up and running and to show me how to access the smart side of the smart tv so we can watch LG movies and use the other features that are built into the set. I guess it needs to link up with either the computer or the modem and router. My dumb ass is going to pay the big bucks to become as smart as my tv.
Did I mention the fact that I am technically challenged when it comes to operating anything more complicated than my Keurig coffee maker?

The biggest convenience that comes from the visit is that I can use one remote instead of two or three. When I set up the new tv I found that I had to turn on the cable box with Spectrum's remote, then turn on the tv with the LG tv remote. I had to change channels with Spectrum's remote but adjust the volume on the LG remote. As far as setting up the home theater system, the soundbar had to be synched with the tv and had yet ANOTHER remote to add to the mix. It took him about 15 minutes to bounce around the menu on the tv and get all the components to work from the Spectrum remote. I thought I was going to have to get a bigger stand next to my chair just to hold all the darned remotes.
