Here is a few statements I made at last week's Board meeting. I called for term-limits, reducing the size of the board and eliminating the bed tax.
Where was our local media...oh yeah, they were right there.

Term limits are a good idea in any form of governing body these days, I think.
Stay at them, sir. It surprises me how much of the general public WANTS change, but doesn't push forward to insure it, settling for more of it in their pockets and purses instead.

Thanks, Rick. I will keep pushing. They thought they would wear me down by now, lol. You're right about the public too. It's pretty frustrating at times. Call me idealistic though, I still hope that if I stay at it, they will start coming around. The problem is that, like many longtime legislators have told me, I'm not the first maverick to come along. The others, however, either threw the towel in or couldn't get re-elected. I hope if I prove that I'm not going anywhere, or not compromising my principles, the apathy will start to fade. Again, maybe I'm too idealistic, but I do hope.
