That does look good, but I'd leave the broccoli rabe out. I made it one time & it was so bitter I had to throw it out. Maybe I cooked it wrong, but I'd substitute escarole.

I don't like broccoli rabe either. I can't find escarole here but I do beet greens, swiss chard, or baby spinach for cooked greens. I tried kale and don't like that either.

When I was young my mom grew various greens including broccoli rabe and kale. There were also spinach, chard, mustard greens, beet greens, etc. We always boiled or steamed them, put them in a bowl and drizzled apple cider vinegar over the top. I still eat greens that way, sometimes sprinkling them with garlic powder as well. It is said that the more bitter the greens, the more nutrition they contain. So I ate them, and after a while I got to really like them.

The price of broccoli rabe is crazy. I saw some real nice bunches at Hannafords but the price was $4.99/lb and I love the bitter taste. I love to mix it with Italian sausage and orecchiette. The oil and garlic and water make the sauce. Delicious.......
