I was told by a VA doc that I should drink a bottle of water every hour or so when I am working in the heat and sweating profusely. I sweat like a pig when it is this hot. My t-shirt ends up soaked and sticking to me at times, depending on what I am doing outside. I am in for the day. Showered, changed into shorts and a t-shirt and I am going to hit the recliner until supper is ready.

You & me both. I used your calculator. I'm too cheap to buy bottled water but I did buy a 6 pack of Desani a few days ago. I saved the bottles & refill them off the kitchen faucet that has a PUR filter. I then refrigerate them & the water tastes just as good as store bought.

I do the same thing, BHU. I use the Brita filter and it works very well. Even so, water tastes a little different in different areas even though it's filtered. It's been said that we should drink water that comes from the area we live in. Same with vegetables. This bottled water craze is making a ton of money for the companies that sell it and is really no better for us than local filtered water.

I guess I am lazy and don't care to fuss with filling bottles from the pitcher. I still buy the 24 bottle case of water from Kroger for $2.99 and often get a coupon for a free case with the monthly coupon packet we get in the mail. I recently bought a 40 bottle case but it was so damned heavy you needed a forklift to put it in the car, lol. We DO recycle the bottles for whatever that may be worth. We use a Brita pitcher for water for coffee. When I head out the door I just grab a bottle. Our chlorinated faucet water here smells like Clorox. I think a person could bleach their underwear with it.
The company that bottles water on what was once Mansur's dairy farm, just North of Alder Creek, could probably exist solely on the water it sells to Walmart. The Marcy distribution center keeps a sizeable number of trailers spotted there and actually has drivers assigned to spending their entire workday shuttling trailers to and from there.

Mostly I drink unfiltered tap water. I have a couple of re-usable freezer sticks which fit into my tall water glass to use in place of ice cubes.
If I feel the need to filter my water, I use the Keurig machine.
The reason I use freezer sticks for my water is that all of the ice in our household is dedicated for the machine which pumps cold water to the cooling pad around Barb's leg.

I do the same but I am so cheap that I only buy two bottles and rotate them. Partially freeze one it keeps the water colder longer
