A submersible able to dive in the ocean to 13,000 ft. was controlled by a Super Mario game controller. Can't make this sh*t up. This a good example of what happens when a multi billionaire with too much time on his hands finances a toy that he wants, then finds out it's costing a bundle so he cuts corners & disaster is the result. This guy was warned over & over again by experts in that field that the vessell was unsafe. Now that the investigations have started now comes the finger pointing by agencies who allowed this guy to carry passengers in a vessell controlled by a Nintendo toy etc, etc , etc.

BHU I know I still cannot understand what led those passengers to even think about going on that thing.

The most responsible person is dead. I don't have a problem with the controller, why recreate something functional and manufactured by the millions. A reasonable person would have back up batteries and a back up controller. Did anyone ever check that?
The whole episode probably increased the functional IQ of our species by a very small fraction of a per cent.
