I had to run to Kingsport to pick up an extra battery for Kathy's portable oxygen concentrator. I tried to resist the temptation but when I went by Krispy Kreme the "hot donuts" sign was lit. I mean SOMEBODY has to get them while they are hot or they quickly become COLD donuts. I figured it was my duty to stop by to do my part and buy a dozen. They were still warm when I got home. Being close to lunch time I elected to eat FOUR GLAZED DONUTS for lunch. It was a tough task but I managed to choke down 4 of them with a hot cup of coffee.  We are heading for NY Sunday morning. Got good news this morning when I talked to my oldest son. He and his wife are going to be there while we are there and it will be the first time in quite some time that I will be able to be together with all three sons at the same time. |

Kathy definitely got her share of the donuts. She is the sweets eater in this house. I always keep her well supplied with turnovers, Danish, and donuts when I shop. When we are in NY though, Holland Farms is my downfall. Fresh cinnamon sugar donuts, apple fritters, and their soft chocolate chip cookies are my faves. Kathy loves the jelly buns.
Car has been gassed up, oil changed, washed and ceramic polished, most of the luggage and miscellaneous is in the car with the exception of the items we will need in the morning and our cpap machines. We hope to be on the road by 9 tomorrow morning, with an overnight stop at Country Inn and Suites in Chambersburg.

Looks like the weather may be challenging at times along our route. I hate driving on the interstate in the rain with the spray from trucks limiting visibility.
