I stopped by the campground that we are going to be camping at from the 11th to the 15th of June to drop off a deposit on a site for a friend and her mother that are going to camp with us. There is a elderly lady and her husband that manage the campground for the owner who is a financial advisor. There was a college age kid talking to the lady when I pulled in. He was driving a Maserati. I was talking to him about the car and he told me that it developed 600hp from a turbo charged V6 and he had gotten it up to 145mph on the interstate when he first got it. I had never even SEEN a Maserati up close before. When he left the lady told me that he was the owner's son and that they had just bought that car for him for a medical school graduation present. $210,000. Talk about a spoiled little rich boy. I would be afraid to drive it anywhere for fear someone would put a door ding in it or hit me in the rear end at a traffic light. I would find it hard to justify a 600hp twin turbo vehicle to drive on highways that are posted at 70mph maximum speed. When my oldest son graduated he got a new chevy cavalier. It cost about 12K. It was a four cylinder and would probably go from zero to 30 between traffic lights if it was a long block.

People live within the limits of what they have at any given time. 'Jr' happens to come from a family that lives a step or two (or three) above what you and I are accustomed to. So be it. Since he just graduated from medical school I assume Jr has something on the ball and someday he may save your life, or someone else's... providing that he and the Maserati don't wrap themselves around a tree somewhere in the meantime. Have a great time camping and enjoy yourselves.
