It is supposed to get quite nasty later this afternoon. Severe thunderstorms are headed our way with high and damaging winds, flooding downpours, and hail. Isolated spin up tornadoes are possible. I have the NOAA weather radio charging, along with the IPad and my phone. It is the price we pay to avoid NY winters I guess. Thank goodness we have the safe place in the back corner of the cement block garage that serves as a tornado shelter. I have to run a quick errand to Kingsport and then the car will be in the carport to avoid hail. We have to bite the bullet and hope for the best when it comes to hail and the motorhome, with no place to shelter it but we do carry full coverage insurance on it to cover any damage that may occur. We have never seen any damaging hail since moving here in 2002, but just before we bought the house a bad hailstorm wreaked havoc on the area. Hail the size of golf balls and bigger caused major damage to homes, cars, and trees. Our house had brand new siding and new roof because the old vinyl siding was peppered with holes and the roof shingles were damage also. People told me that the hail was bad enough to strip the leaves from trees and flatten any plants or flowers. Wish us luck,

Be safe. Tornado ally is changing for some unknown reason and switching to the Southeast sector.
