The tree looks just like this and is in full bloom. Located just beyond the entrance driveway it is a beauty to behold.

Interesting, I thought they were Southern trees and not cold hardy.

I not sure what we have here is the tree in the picture but it looks exactly like that....

Crepe Myrtle is actually is suited for climate zone 6, and upstate NY is zone 7. I know my former in-laws had a white Crepe Myrtle in their yard.

Probably not that popular in zone 7 but is probably able to survive with proper care.

I saw a lot of them today in New Hartford area. One near the library and some around that beautiful park across from the Yanadahas Golf Club. The nurses park in Utica also has smaller versions.
