Took out two utility poles and fled the scene

Let me guess they were either holding drugs or were drunk and wanting to avoid DUI testing. Good luck with that unless they took the license plates with them when they, fled troopers will be hot on their trail. Unless they fled the country the troopers are probably only hours away from putting cuffs on them if they haven't already found them.

By the looks of the car and the fact that they were going fast enough to take out two poles I am surprised that they were able to walk or run away.

Darwin gave those idiots a break, when they took out the poles the wires landed on the car.

That's right how did they exit the vehicle if the wires landed on top of car!!! Why did not they get zapped. I was on a Bus when something like that happened. We were traveling up a side street in West Utica and the wire from one house was very low so when the Bus went through the exhaust pipe on top took out the wire and it landed on top of Bus as the driver stopped. If those wires were electrical those people jumping off the Bus would have been zapped. I waited inside until people jumped out of Bus. As long as they didn't get zapped I was safe. Fire Dept arrived 15 minutes later and determined the wire was from cable TV.

Apparently, they were lucky enough that a circuit breaker shut off the current quickly.
