Every time Piazza's came up for a parole hearing the people of Frankfort made it clear that he could NEVER spend enough time in prison to pay the price for what he did. It was a murder that still is fresh in the minds of those that live in CNY.
I was a junior in high school and I can still vividly remember the news coverage like it was yesterday. Frankfort is a small and closely knit community. Personally I don't believe murderers should EVER be eligible for parole. I guess I lean toward the "eye for an eye" principle when it comes to taking another person's life. One would hope that they would parole Piazza to a place far away. To allow him to return to Frankfort would be a poke in the eye with a sharp stick for the people of Frankfort, and I am damned sure he would not find life pleasant were he to return there.
