Winter may rear it's ugly head again next Monday and Tuesday. We have had a few beautiful days with sunshine and temperatures ranging from the mid-sixties to the mid-seventies, with lows in the mid-forties to low fifties. I worked outside all day yesterday in shirt sleeves and actually mowed the glade across the road and the front lawn. People have been mowing their lawns for the last week or so. Ours wasn't real tall, but was starting to look ragged. I walked the dog just before bed last night in a flannel shirt, but woke up this morning to a heavy frost and 32 degrees. They are saying we might get snow flurries next Monday and Tuesday.
I am heading out to Walmart to buy eggs. Kathy is making a potato salad and a tray of deviled eggs for our little bowling league pot luck that we have on our last night of league bowling. Walmart is selling eggs for $2.66 for a carton of 18. When I was at Kroger yesterday 18 large eggs were $4.89. Are all Walmart stores selling eggs at that low price? We have a friend that has chickens and when we get eggs from her we pay $3 for a dozen for farm fresh eggs. I am going to buy three cartons at Walmart. We use a lot of eggs but having more than two extra cartons would create a storage issue in the refrigerator.
