For some unknown reason when I turn the wheel to scroll up or down a page, the page bounces up and down and it is hard to place the cursor on the frame where I want to click. Anyone have any ideas what may be causing this? It is a Medion wireless mouse from the infamous wally that Kathy bought me as a gift a year or so ago.

I assume you have looked for dirt or debris.

I assume you have looked for dirt or debris. I tried blowing it out last night with "Dust Off" canned compressed air that I bought several months ago to clean my keyboard. I am just going to get another wireless mouse today. Hopefully that is the problem. By the time I got the miniscule Phillip's head screw out of the recessed and dark hole in the bottom of the mouse, and got it back in, I was ready to throw the mouse at the wall.

I almost think that the contacts for the wheel itself are probably just worn out and not making consistent contact.

If changing the battery doesn't work, the mouse is probably kaput. I had 2 mouses (mice?) that went belly-up. Buying another mouse did the trick.

Ours is a LogiTech wireless, had it for about a year with no issues. Only changed the battery once & I never turn it off.

That is what I just bought. I bought the keyboard AND mouse in a package. I figured that if the mouse was worn out the keyboard would probably puke soon too.
All is good now. Working just the way everything should and scrolling as smooth can be.
Thanks everyone for the advice and guidance.

The battery storage case w/tester is a cool idea. I'm glad it was a simple and inexpensive fix.
