Today I was planning on getting back to normal and doing a little work outside. the doctor said it was not unusual to take 2 weeks or more to fully recover when there have been complications such as I had. I have been working a little more each day to get back to normal.
Yesterday I did a little raking and cleaning up around the yard in preparation for seeding some bad spots in the lawn. I only worked two hours and I was ready for a nap before supper. Last week during a storm a small tree blew down across the road in the portion of the little glade along the creek that I keep mowed in summer. I was going to cut it up today. I went out to the shop, fueled the saw and sharpened the chain. I hooked up the little trailer behind the tractor and went to work on the tree. I only managed to cut up two small trailer loads of firewood and brought it to the back yard wood pile and I was out of steam. The tree is only half cut up and by the time I put everything away and sharpened the saw again I was pooped out and ready for my chair. This sitting around the house is starting to get to me. I am an outdoor person and sitting on my duff watching Law and Order re-runs is getting old. I got everything put away just in time. It is raining like hell now.
I hope I have more energy tomorrow. We are expecting temperatures in the mid to high 70s in the next few days. It may hit 78 on Wednesday. I have work to do and I am anxious to get out and get some sunshine, fresh air, and exercise.
It has been a weird winter here. The weatherman was saying at noon that we have only had 8% of the normal snowfall this winter. We had a total of 6 tenths of an inch. I have a sneaking suspicion that it is going to be a long and extremely hot summer.
