Our prices were a bit lower than upstate NY for a long time but they are rising every day. I shopped at Krogers today for a few things. Eggs have gone from a little over 4 dollars to $5.69 for 18. I bought a a package of two one pound packages of butter (store brand) today and paid $8.50. Butter was only $2.99 just a few weeks ago. The packages of frozen, steam in the bag veggies that were 10 for 10 bucks just a few weeks ago are now 3 for $5.
Gas prices? They were as low as $2.67 a few weeks ago but they are on the rise again. Gas is now anywhere from $3.07 to $3.39.
How are the food and gas prices doing in CNY? I am sure that they are also climbing daily.

I paid $3.39/gal. for gas at BJ'S yearlier this week. Fastrac, Stewarts & other conveinance stores are averaging $3.55. Go figure. I've seen no drop in food prices around here. I think a lot of perople would be a lot more pi**ed about these ripoff prices if they had to dig in their pockets & hand over their hard earned cash for purchases instead of using a bank card. I like how the robot asks if you want a reciept when using a bank card at checkout. Ya think?
WM no longer has paper bags at checkout. So if you forget your bag you have to buy theirs. They got me yesterday when I forgot to bring one, but they won't get me again.
