So far so good here in Bristol area, There are major outages to our East and in the Mountains of SW Virginia, also to our South in the Chattanooga area. Hopefully we will stick with just rolling 15 minutes outages. Kathy had a cake in the oven when the power went off. She was having a fit because we did not know at that time that it was an intentional outage by TVA. We told the couple across the road that if the power went out and stayed out that they could come over and all four of us could hunker down in the motorhome, kick on the furnace, fire up the generator so we could watch tv, have lights, and be able to use the coffee maker. I downloaded a couple of movies from Netflix onto the Ipad in case tv and wifi go down. Phone and Ipad fully charged, You guys are getting it now, but the record low temperatures and the major swing of over 40 degrees since yesterday is crazy.
Stay in and stay safe. You might get to Walmart and get stranded when the busses quit running because of the storm. I would probably panic if I got stranded in that hell hole, haha. You might be in heaven at your favorite place, but if I got trapped at Walmart I would probably buy lots of insulated underwear, a pair of Carhart insulated coveralls and put my coat on over all that and walk home, haha.
