Only in NY would lawmakers attempt to push through such a significant pay raise when the economy is in the condition it is now.

I have always been angered by the fact that congress votes for their own pay raises also, but I can't believe NY lawmakers would have the balls to propose such a huge raise in pay. I hope the vote is publicized and those who voted yay or nay so that folks will know what greedy individuals NOT to re-elect.

Our local reps are all voting against but downstate is another matter. Hochul, who is turning out to be a real winner is all for it. She's another Cuomo in makeup.

Their pay increases I think should be voted on by the people during a normal election vote. It could easily be done with a simple statement concerning the amount of pay increase.
