I see the accident reports and police dispatches on a daily basis on facebook. It seems like there was a serious rash of accidents and cars off the road yesterday and last night. How bad did the weather actually get? Was the weather actually that bad or was the rash of wrecks due to the annual "nobody remembers how to drive on winter roads" syndrome that strikes every early winter.
When I lived up North the first time the roads were snowy or slippery I would see several cars off the road in the ditches. When I lived in North Utica I would see even MORE cars off the road on the route 49 four lane to Rome. I think everyone that worked in Rome and lived in Utica left for work 20 minutes before they had to be at their job.

You know that route so well you could have had him take a seat behind you and learn while you drive the route.

I didn't have a problem but I don't drive like a maniac in snow. Unless the forecast changed the big one comes later this week when the tow truck operators & body shops will have an early Xmas.

You know that route so well you could have had him take a seat behind you and learn while you drive the route. LOL I did and he thanked me and again this morning he thanked me again as he was walking out the CENTRO main office. Then he stopped and said I understand you have been doing this for some time. I said yup I have many years on ya just don't get lost with the Whitesboro run since I never was on that route and would have no idea where I was going. I remember back about 8 years ago they hired this blonde lady for a driver. She was driving the Mohawk Burrstone route and I was on that Bus. Actually I was the only one on that Bus. Anyway we leave downtown Utica and proceed as usual. We go through the Business Park and instead of making a left turn when exiting the Park she turns right to head back to downtown,. I said excuse me but this Bus goes to Consumer Square then goes back to downtown. She said no that Bus is the New York Mills.. So I didn't say anymore. We get downtown and her supervisor says to her how did you get back so soon. She explained then said if you can't figure out where to go ask the guy behinds you he is a pro at this.
