The other result of making tolls so high that they become unaffordable will be to force heavy trucks to either avoid NY State completely or force them onto non-toll highways. The increased truck traffic on roads such as Rt 20 or Rt 5 East and West or Rt 11 and Rt 12 North and South, putting undue wear and tear on those alternate roads and increasing the risk of accidents, injuries, or deaths. Good luck trying to get anywhere in a reasonable amount of time when every other vehicle on a two-lane road is a heavy truck or tractor trailer.
