I am green with envy PB. One of the sad parts of not coming to NY this year is not having brought home a cooler full of Utica area treats. Italian sausage from Chanatry's and Pulaski Meat Market Kielbasa are missed the most.
We are stuck resorting to the store bought, mass produced, crappy attempt to turn hot dog meat into a lousy facsimile of polish sausage cranked out by the packing houses. It is a horrible shock to a New Yorker to be left with only store brand Kielbasa and Johnsonville Italian sausage.

I bought another 2 pounder and I just love there sausage. I also found a package of homemade golumpki for only $8.99 and they are large and two to a package. Two weeks ago I bought one at Price Chopper for $4.99 and it was very small and tasteless! There was a lady who also bought a kielbasa and 10 hotdogs and 5 lbs Italian sausage and a few other things I should have stayed around to hear how much she paid. I consider the $27.00 I spent to have been spent well. I have to go back get a couple pork chops. I was surprised at the very wide selection of various jarred products like sauerkraut and pickles.

We used to like their luncheon meats too. Kathy's dad liked their polish head cheese. I tried it a few times and it was good, but not my favorite. Yes, their golumki is very good. The last time we were up there we shopped at Hap's on the way out of town. We bought a package of their golumpki and they were very small and not worth the money. Hap's seems to have gone down hill over the years. That was once the only place we shopped for meats.
