The sky has been gray for the since the day before yesterday and it has drizzled and rained on and off for 3 days. I guess it is the remnants of Hurrican Ian that is still passing to our East through Western N.C. and Virginia leaving us with the drizzles on the fringe. I built a good substantial fire in the woodstove and stayed nice and warm in the shop.
Thank goodness tomorrow will be the beginning of 6 days of sunshine with only a 10% chance of showers all six of those days.
Today Utica has temperatures about 8 or 10 degrees warmer than it is here. The weather man says we had a high of about 56 at the airport. It only got to 53 here with a chilling and damp breeze and drizzles and sprinkles all day. I get antsy when I can't be outside doing something productive.

I get that seasonal affective depression when the days get shorter and all the leaves are gone from the trees and everything looks dead. I found out if I buy some flowers it helps brighten my mood. Saturday I bought a bunch of autumn flowers and I have them in a vase in living room. Now I have to get something small for bedroom and maybe kitchen!!!! I'll splurge

I'll splurge Kathy likes to keep flowers on the lazy Susan on our kitchen table. I buy the inexpensive seasonal bunches at Krogers a couple of times a month. They usually cost only 8 or 9 dollars. In summer I often pick a small bouquet of the roses from our knockout rose bushes.

It's been a crazy summer up here, for me at least. On my days off, it was either 900° or raining. I've been wanting to change out the bull bar on the front of the truck and finally gave up. Left it with my mechanic to change last night when I dropped off the truck for oil change and inspection.

I am glad you got that put on Ralph. After my last experience with bold and ignorant fools refusing to move out of the middle of Elm Street I believe that a bull bar will work but a cow catcher would work even better. But then again you never know when you may encounter a bull on your way home in the dark of night, hahaha.
