Holy crap! That is one hell of a sandwich. Take that little plastic sauce dish thingy out of there, fold that beauty in half. If someone asks you if your are hungry just tell them "no thanks. I just finished a sandwich." lol
I would love to try the Italian sausage but I am not paying $79 for 3lbs of sausage and some peppers. Yikes!

Just my 2 cents, but I think this is decadence, plain and simple.

No doubt about it Kit. I also hold that same opinion about Omaha Steaks and other online so called premium product sales. Omaha Steaks used to send a package that was WORTH the price and consisted of a good variety of premium beef. Now for $150 or more you get a package with more chicken breasts, pork chops and burger patties than steak. Believe it or not I have found that Sam's Club filets and other steaks are superior to most and equal to Omaha's, and I don't have to pay a premium price that includes shipping costs. I can buy quite a bit of meat at Sam's for 150 bucks.
They suck people into thinking that their products are superior to those you can purchase locally and cheaper.
What made me chuckle most was the Soppressata- All Natural, Nitrate Free 12 oz Was: $22.95 Now: $20.95?
Believe it or not I recently bought Soppressata at Aldi's of all places I don't remember exactly how much I paid, but it was probably 5 or 6 ounces and I would not have bought it if it were much more than 5 bucks or so. Didn't compare to what is available locally made in Utica but quite good.

I was at Aldi's again this afternoon to pick up some Choceur milk chocolate bars for Kathy. No Soppressata today but they had some good salami slices, just right for crackers. Kathy made a nice antipasto for supper to accompany our spaghetti. The salami was excellent. she even put some anchovies on it. I bought a can a few days ago at Krogers and have been having a few in each of my daily salads this week. Aldi's always has something new and different that I haven't seen there before. Their cheese selection is quite good also.

I used to buy Omaha Steak filet mignon, but only now and then. They weren't cheap but they were the best and the price was reasonable for their quality. And I'd get a free premium like a solar calculator or a set of scissors along with each order. I just saw an ad for them on Facebook and they're now over $40 a pound, and no premium.
The other day at our local Hannaford I bought 5 filet mignons 1.75 inches thick as a gift for my daughter's birthday present. They were $27 a pound. Not cheap, but certainly not $40 a pound. The butcher hand cut them to size and trimmed all the silver skin before weighing, and my daughter said they were delicious. I wish I could afford to eat them myself.

Personally I am not a big fan of filet mignon. Kathy loves it for it's tenderness but personally I favor a good, well marbled ribeye or strip steak. We usually grill a few filets in the summer but the filet that she enjoys most for quality and tenderness is the "Flo's Filet" at Longhorn Steak House. I imagine that it is adulterated with something to insure its fork-tender texture, but it is always uniform, tender, and flavorful. If a person prefers an expensive cut like a filet I would think it prudent to order it at a restaurant where if not cooked to your preferred doneness you can send it back.
