The forecast is for sunny weather with no rain all the way through until next Monday afternoon or evening.
I should be able to get a plethora of outside jobs done this week. It is sunny and bright this morning and I have a doctor's appointment with my primary care doc at one o'clock, but after that it is "game on."
All three sections of the lawn that I often spread out over a period of 2 or 3 days are in need of mowing. (definitely wearing a mask) I will be tearing down the fence around the garden, harvesting the butternut squash, and pulling out all the plants. Later in the week I may find time to give it a quick tilling. In the spring I will determine whether or not I am going to plant grass or grow a limited garden. The house needs pressure washing, as does the driveway and sidewalk. I am going to call the videographer and schedule the video testimonial for someday this week. We had cancelled until a nice sunny day. The motorhome needs a good washing. The chores are never ending but it keeps me busy and moving while also bringing me satisfaction and enjoyment.
I am fortunate in that I always have something to look forward to when I get up in the morning and when I run out of chores I can always look forward to spending time in my woodshop. Last night I made a 3 tiered file tray for my desk out of red oak. After supper tonight I will probably take it back to the shop, stain it and prepare it for finishing with poly or beeswax.
I am blessed to still be able to do what I do. We all slow down with age, but I have been fortunate to be able to continue to do most things, just a slower pace. The one thing I DON'T do anymore is climb.
