I can hardly wait for the fall weather to set in, hopefully bringing and end to the sweltering heat and constant drenching rains.
I am going to have a lot of projects to catch up on around the yard and house when it finally cools off enough and quits raining long enough to complete them without suffering heat stroke or drowning. Lately it has been a case of having to mow or take care of yard work in a short window between the time the dew dries enough to mow and the afternoon rains begin. During that time slot the temperatures rapidly rise through the eighties and into the nineties. I like warm weather but the recent trend of reaching the nineties almost every afternoon is getting old. I was in Sam's Club yesterday for about 15 minutes and in that short period of time the car got so hot that the chrome portion of my seat belt got hot enough to almost burn my fingers while hooking it. Even the steering wheel was almost too hot to touch. I am glad we don't have vinyl or leather seats.

Yes I agree. The temps are cooling off here and the high heat indexes and humidity level are dropping. Today was great but light rain. In other news I ordered a real nice toaster oven and it arrived today. Bad news is I opened the box and the entire right side had a huge dent in it like it was dropped from a bridge. Walmart will replace it for free but now I have to repackage the item and carry it to the Fedex store at 4 Riverside Drive in Utica so they can print the shipping label apply it a send it back. When it rains it pours......

It has dropped from 92 to 81 now, but it was stifling hot and humid this afternoon. I had to work in the shop for about 15 minutes to cut some wood to add a shelf to one of our lower kitchen cabinets. I cut it on the table saw along with two cleats an inch and a half by, 3/4", quickly ran the belt sander over it and got the heck out of the garage. 15 minutes and I was dripping with sweat.
