wibx950.com/farmers-almanac-winter-2022/It looks like a hard winter is coming. After a long and hot summer they are saying that it will be an extremely cold winter and it will possibly be arriving sooner rather than later. I guess it would be prudent to park the snowblower beside the lawn mower and have them both full of fuel and ready to go, and stand that snow shovel next to the leaf rake. The way the weather patterns have been lately a person never knows what sort of weather they may wake up to.

Actually, I do store the snow blower and the mower side by side. Every six months I swap them depending on which one needs easier access.

I would have quite a long line of things parked side by side. I don't have a snowblower any more but I have 2 push mowers, 2 rototillers, a DR walk behind string trimmer for brush, and a craftsman gas powered chipper shredder, plus the lawn tractor and a rack and shelf for the weed eater, blower, and assorted ladders. On top of that I have built two coffin like boxes on wheels, one for the motorhome cover and the other for the Christmas tree, and a large shelf unit of totes full of various and sundry canning and camping supplies and equipment. Thank goodness our winters are mild and we have a carport to shelter the car. No way could I get it into either stall of the garage. lol

Pretty much Kit, haha. You would probably really shake your head and chuckle if you saw my accumulation of tools in my shop. I have tools that were my grandfather's, and my father's as well as a multitude of garge and estate sale finds that I bought simply because I didn't have one or might need one in the future. Lots of duplicates. I have a rolling tool box with an entire drawer full of screwdrivers, another filled with assorted pliers, a third with an accumulation of assorted sockets and ratchets accumulated of the years, as well as a drawer containing all the specialty tools for repairing and rebuilding small engines. I have both pneumatic nailers as well as cordless lithium battery operated, an assortment of sanders, jig saws, power drills (pneumatic, corded as well as cordless) Yes, I am a tool hoarder (I prefer collector, lol.) I just enjoy working with tools and enjoy my time in the shop. Kathy was in the shop recently and asked me why I had a plastic bin with a half dozen claw hammers and several ball peens. Good question, LOL. Just last week I bought a second chain saw simply because it was such a bargain when they marked everything down to half price on the final day of an estate sale, brought it home, sharpened the chain, cleaned it all up and put it on the shelf next to the other one. Tim Taylor has nothing on me, haha. Color me obsessive compulsive when it comes to accumulating tools.

There was one here when we bought the house, one of those metal ones but on it's last legs. I tore it down & put it out front for the scrappers.

I bought one of those metal sheds years ago from a guy on Trenton Rd. for $30 Probably one of the most tedious projects I ever got myself into. There was about a million sheet metal screws that had to be taken out during disassembly, and assembly was an even worse nightmare. Many of the holes didn't line up when I went to put it back together. I was tempted to eat the $30 and put THAT one out to the curb for the scrappers. lol Not to mention that within a few short years the damned thing was rusting out and I had to put it to the curb anyway. I replaced it by building a 10x12 wooden shed. It only cost me about 500 bucks back then. I looked at sheds at Lowes recently just out of curiosity. A shed that size was priced at $1700 and up.
Have you managed to deal with the weeds and vines on your new fence yet?

I bought a Black and Decker 8x8 resin storage shed about 17 years ago. When we were getting ready to move back then, I took it down and packed it up. Wound up staying and put it back together again! lol!!! Easy peasy. It's a great little shed and sure seems to have withstood the test of time.

I helped someone assemble one of those metal sheds years ago & yep there was probably a thousand screws which all went in using a phillips screwdriver. Talk about tedious. We anchored the thing in concrete so it wouldn't blow away in a storm & it never did, just rusted away. Haven't done anything with the weeds yet, been too hot. I'll go the RoundUp route using a pump sprayer. I can stick the wand under the fence & douse them that way. I looked over the fence the other day & the vines are at least 4 ft deep off our fence. I guess he's waiting for a hard freeze come November.

I have a hammer and two screwdrivers and a pillars. Screwdrivers are a Philips with two sizes of screw hear and a normal screwdriver. The hammer has a bent handle for some reason which makes hammering a nail interesting.
