I am not surprised. Garth Brooks is quite fan oriented and loves interacting with the fans. I guess he quite often gifts someone with the guitar he has been playing during a concert. I attended a Garth Brooks concert at the NY State Fair many years ago. At the end of that concert he left the stage and gave his guitar to a young boy in a wheelchair who was severely crippled with cerebral palsy.
A much different scenario and venue when compared the WIllie Nelson 4th of July Picnic at the Carrier Dome I attended many years ago. We sat high in the stands. The pot smoke was 10 feet deep at the ceiling and drunks were stumbling back and forth to the beer concession. Some guy with a carboard flat loaded with paper cups of beer stumbled and poured beer all over me and the girl next to me as he staggered back ot his seat and I left there with a pounding headache from the smoke and clothes that smelled like a combination of the bottom of someone's bong and a badly neglected drain system under the beer taps at a bar.
