Many on this forum could offer valuable imput especially those who know skaters in one way or the other. Even as a valid sport on national television. Utica started out with running and that evolved into a world wide event called the Boilermaker. We have a fantastic Auditorium bringing much revenue into the City and the Nexus Center which is next.
Please help out and fill out this form to the best of your knowledge or get some skaters to give input. I would like to see a regional or national park for all levels of athletes within this field of adventure. We have a park system that would support and I believe the Proctors who gave us all this lad would be most happy and grateful to develop the area to further the economic advantage of the City.
UTICA, N.Y. – The City of Utica is looking for input on a new skate park planned at Proctor Park.
The city is using $1 million in American Rescue Plan funds to design and construct the new skate park.
A couple of workshops have been held to discuss ideas and now a survey has been posted to solicit more ideas.
