When I was a kid myself & my buddies spent many days hanging out in Proctor Park , especially on the baseball diamonds. Wonderfull memories.
Glag to see they're finally getting some attention after being neglected for so long.

Is there still a picnic area in South Woods? I haven't driven through that area in years.
It is good to see them finally cleaning up and making Proctor Park great again. It is a beautiful area that has been neglected for years and left at the mercy of vandals, muggings, and other criminal activity.

You would not believe what this group has done. They have found structures buried for years in underbrush and mud and restored them it is so beautiful. The Lily Pond is fantastic.

I haven't been thru the park in years, once the riff raff & the weirdos if you know what I mean started taking over. Lol. I wonder if the concrete bridge is still there that spans Starch Factory Creek over where the tunnel is? I know that years ago the city stopped people from driving thru that area, blocking off the road.

Starch Factory Creek area is beginning to emerge in its finest detail. Drive or walk through the area the work done by this group that also takes care of all the flowers etc along the parkway you know all those fantastic monuments. I always remember what the City said to the Proctors when he was going to leave the lad to the City for a park. The City was not going to accept that gift because of the expense of upkeep. Well the Conservatory answers that problem. If left to the City it would look like the disgusting park called Liberty Bell Park. That was at lea Colgate or Hamilton worked on it.
