Saturday I stopped at Fastrac in Marcy to top off my tank & paid $4.14/gal. with their member card. Glad I did. I want past the same station this morning & the price of reg. unleaded with member card was $4.29! That's a $.15/ gal spike in price within 48 hours to those who are wondering.
Tell me they're not robbing us blind.

It has to be a NY thing. It was race weekend here this past weekend and usually the gas goes up a few cents but it has continued to drop a couple cents at a time. I bought gas today for $3.75 minus the 15 cent shopper card discount.
There is still no rhyme or reason to the gas prices here. Some stations are still at $4.05 but most are coming down. One food city store's gas station is selling regular for $3.89, and 4 miles away at the station where I filled today it is $3.75.

A few days ago GasBuddy listed a staion on Rte 365 outside of Rome selling regular unleaded at $4.01/gal. If they can do it the rest of them can.
They're robbing us blind.

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe 6/1 is when the new state & county budgets kick in? A couple weeks ago I was gassing up at a local station & there was a young guy opposite me fueling up his dump truck so I'm assuming he's a small contractor. He got done filling up & he says to me "it just cost me $400. to fill up". I told him they're robbing us blind. I won't repeat verbatim his response to me but it was something along the lines of taking people out who are causing this. That's how fed up people are.

It would be a very long list. Some are protected by the Secret Service or Capitol Police. Others probably can afford private security. The County Executive is probably most vulnerable but low on the food chain.

I don't understand what is happening in NY. We are still seeing prices staying fairly steady at between $3.65 and $3.85. Even along the interstate it is only $3.89.

All of the major didtributors pulled out of CNY years ago. Now we have Clifford Fuel (Fastrac), Speedway, Stewart's & an independent here & there. A few years ago when we were being gouged with some of the highest prices in the state local politicians made some noise about it at photo ops but nothing ever became of it as usual.
