Another incident involving an illegal gun found during a traffic stop. The job of UPD police officer becomes more dangerous every day. It is getting so "shots fired" calls are as common as traffic stops.

I can't imagine this gangster wannabe needing 26 rounds unless he is a very poor marksman. That thing must weigh well over a pound. I can't imagine carrying that thing in my waistband.

It is getting to be an everyday occurrence to open the OD page and read of another shooting or another traffic stop or arrest revealing an illegal handgun.

Out running the streets at 1:30 a.m. How nice. Up all night causing mayhem, then sleep all day.

It's time to take these punks & put them to work on a road gang, Cool Hand Luke style so they'll learn how the other half who work for a living & who these dirtbags terrorize in working class neighborhoods.

All the way back in 2000 when I worked all night as transportation manager at the OD those punks were out all night getting into mischief. When I would be out checking on my drivers or delivering bundles to stores that were shorted I would see them all over the city, walking in the middle of the road, just daring you to run over their punk asses. Believe me, the temptation to take the dare was strong. Drivers would call in on the radio and tell me that they couldn't deliver bundles to a carrier in Corn Hill because they heard shots nearby. We would have to go back after daylight and the carrier's customers wouldn't get their paper until 9 or 10 in the morning.

I like how the news media doesn't report whether or not these Bozos are getting released under bail reform or if they're being locked up pending bail.

What's the big secret?

I would hope that with weapons charges they are held and not released. Of course with NY's bail laws they may turn them loose and give them back their gun.
