What did Biden really mean? 1 / Nato would respond 'in kind' if Putin uses chemical weapons in Ukraine, Joe Biden says
Nato could respond against Russia if the country carries out a chemical weapons attack on Ukraine, US president Joe Biden suggested yesterday. Mr Biden said that such an attack "would trigger a response in kind". Speaking at a press conference after a summit of Nato leaders in Brussels, Mr Biden said: "We would respond. We would respond if he uses it. The nature of the response would depend on the nature of the use." He added that Nato "has never, never been more united", saying: "Putin is getting exactly the opposite of [what] he intended to have as a consequence of going into Ukraine." www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/ukraine-war-russia-live-weapons-putin-peace-b2043842.htmlBeen thinking about this. Dis he mean that NATO and USA would use Chemical Weapons against Russia if Russia uses them against Ukraine. That would also mean if Russia uses Nuclear Weapons then the NATO and USA would have to respond with a nuclear attack on Russia!!!!!!! THAT IS WHAT RESPONDING "IN KIND " MEANS TO ME.

I hope this was just a poor word choice.

I hope this was just a poor word choice. Me too! Do we need to get out the sandwich board sign that say "repent, the end is near" and go stand on the corner? I would certainly hope that the United States NEVER uses chemical weapons. That is about the most inhumane type of warfare that exists and it almost ALWAYS is going to involve collateral damage and death to innocent civilians. I am relatively sure that the United States has the capability in our vast arsenal and array of weapons to respond effectively without using chemicals.

Chemical weapons are outlawed so no way will we use them. It's a poor choice of words.

Hmmm. The link to Snopes doesn't work for me. Not that it makes any difference. Is it working for anyone else?

Sorry, I was very skeptical when I first read it so I checked another source.
