U.S. to ban Russian oil imports The move, which is likely to push energy prices even higher, comes as the administration increases sanctions pressure on the Russian economy, WASHINGTON β The U.S. is expected to announce it is banning imports of Russian oil as soon as Tuesday, two sources familiar with the matter told NBC News. The move, which is likely to push energy prices even higher, comes as the administration increases sanctions pressure on the Russian economy over the war in Ukraine. President Joe Biden is scheduled to deliver remarks from the White House on Tuesday morning to "announce actions to continue to hold Russia accountable for its unprovoked and unjustified war on Ukraine," the White House said. Earlier in the morning, Shell announced it would immediately stop buying Russian crude oil and would withdraw from its involvement in all Russian hydrocarbons, including oil, natural gas and petroleum products, βin a phased manner.β www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/us-ban-russian-oil-imports-rcna19119The price for freedom

The price for freedom. They will withdraw from their involvement with Russian hydrocarbons in a "phased manner."
Sort of like the "phased manner" in which they increased retail prices? When they phase out Russian oil you can bet your ass that they are going to phase in shoving it in our butts with no lube or condom.

Hopefully gas companies will not increase oil prices at the pump just to make a larger profit.

The price of War! I hope Putin does something now to enrage NATO so NATO can hit Russia with everything its got. BOOM! 675 barrels of oil is what the USA buys each day from Russia. Just mentioned that on news
There is talk about suspending the tax on a gallon of gas until September and I think now would be a good time to do that.

Biden was just on TV and he IS stopping all importing of Russian oil. Stand by for the $5 and higher gas prices. Open the pipeline and drilling here in the US and let domestic oil flow Joe.

It went up $.10/gallon since yesterday. The've been sticking it to us since last summer when that pipeline was shut down from that cyber attack when the price spiked overnight. Once the pipeline was back up & running they kept the price where it was.
Big oils has been screwing the American consumer since the oil embargo of the early 70's & It doesn' help us that half of Washington is on their indirect payroll.
