www.wktv.com/content/news/Oneida-County-vaccine-incentive-program-ending-soon-575962291.htmlWe have a friend in Clinton that recently went shopping at Sangertown with her $100 gift card. She would have gotten vaccinated anyway but found the $100 incentive gift card a great opportunity to pay it forward. She lives in a senior citizen complex and has an elderly neighbor in her mid-nineties who has absolutely no family in her life. Our friend drives her to shop, to doctor's appointments, and socializes with her daily. She took her $100 card to Boscov's and spent the entire $100 on gifts to wrap for the old lady. She is cooking dinner for the two of them on Christmas Eve and making Christmas a little brighter this year for her otherwise lonely neighbor, before spending Christmas day with her own children and grandchildren. It makes me smile just thinking about her making this old woman's Christmas bright. The lady is not destitute but simply has no one that pays any attention to her. I wonder how effective the program actually has been in making a major impact on the number of people getting the vaccine. I imagine that there are many people who can certainly use the extra $100 this time of year. It can make Christmas a lot brighter for people in need or for families with children who might not have much under the tree otherwise. Are any of the grocery stores on the list of participating merchants? There certainly worse ways for government to spend tax dollars.

I received a text with a link to Prizeout to claim the $100. right after Thanksgiving. The other half haesen't got hers yet. I used mine at Target to buy gifts for our 2 grandaughters. They don't actually send a gift card. When you sign up a Prizeout.com you'll get a pin # then you pick which merchant(s) you want to use the card at. You enter the pin # then you'll recieve an acknowledgement with a barcode that you can either print to be scanned at checkout or for online orders. I printed mine & used it with no problems. If you lose that barcode you're out of luck. The program closes on 12/31.

I do not have a printer....screwed again..... Ok, if you place an online order from one of the merchants you can use the number that comes with the barcode & enter it in the box that asks for a gift card code. Or bring up the site on your cellphone & they can scan the barcode off your phone at the store checkout.
