On December 19th, 2021 at approximately 1015AM Utica Police units were dispatched to 1331 Oneida St, the Oneida St Market, regarding an unruly customer. It was reported that this individual was spitting on and attempting to attack customers and store employees.
As the officers arrived they encountered the female and attempted to interview her. She provided the officers with some pedigree information after being advised of the criminal consequences of providing false information. The name she initially provided did not yield any results, so after some searching the officers were able to identify her as Nancy Regist age 23 of Utica.
Upon positively identifying her they then learned that she had outstanding warrants from the Utica Police Department, with one being for previously providing false pedigree information.
At that point she was advised that she was under arrest and then began to actively fight and resist the officers. During her resistance she bit an officer on the hand causing an open wound and significant bleeding.
After a continued struggle they were able to place her into handcuffs, however she then spit in another officers face and attempted to continue to bite the officers on scene.
She was then transported to the Utica Police Department for processing.
The injured officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment due to the injury received.
Following the conclusion of the investigation, Regist was charged with:
Assault in the second degree
False Personation
Harassment in second degree
Outstanding warrants
The officers obviously used restraint in arresting this gal without justifiably body slamming her to the ground after she bit one of them badly enough to cause significant bleeding and require a trip to the hospital and spit on them. Personally I would have been tempted to slam her down hard in order to put the cuffs on her. It sounds like the bimbo had some serious issues. Whether it simply be a bad temper or some sort of intoxication. What the hell is the matter with people these days.
