www.uticaod.com/story/mid-york-weekly/2021/11/18/fryer-museum-full-hidden-gems-and-treasures-madison-county/6374313001/I never knew that this museum existed, but I may try to get over there to visit it when the next time we come up to NY. My mother's family is from that area of Madison County. Moms family was scattered all over that part of the country. Oriskany Falls, Bouckville, Pine Woods, Stockbridge, and Oneida. As a young boy I remember visiting her cousin who lived between Munnsville and Pine Woods on Rt 46. I used to deer hunt over in that neighborhood every year when I worked in the Griffiss Fire Dept. The assistant chief that I worked for lived on the Valley Rd in Stockbridge and we occasionally hunted on the Ward brother's farm as well as on a farm in Pratts Hollow, and my mom's cousin's farm in Pine Woods. Yes, the same Ward brothers who were the subject of the book "My Brother's Keeper." I tend to take an interest in the history of the local small towns in upstate NY when the opportunity arises and this museum sounds as though it would be very interesting, educational, and fun to visit.
