'QAnon Shaman' is sentenced to over 3 years in prison for role in Capitol riot WASHINGTON — The Arizona man known as the “QAnon Shaman” will serve 41 months in prison after he stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, a federal judge ruled In handing down the sentence for the man, Jacob Chansley, U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth said: “What you did was horrific, obstructing the functioning of the government. What you did was terrible. You made yourself the epitome of the riot.” Chansley, 34, stood out among the rioters on Jan. 6 by appearing shirtless with face paint, wearing a furry headdress with horns and carrying a U.S. flag and a bullhorn. Chansley spoke at length in court before his sentencing. “I admit to the world I was wrong. I have no excuses. My behavior was indefensible,” he said. www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/qanon-shaman-is-sentenced-to-over-3-years-in-prison-for-role-in-capitol-riot/ar-AAQP1Ff?li=BBnb7KzSomeone like this for this type of offense namely treason should be put to death publicly by being drawn and quartered and then having his arms and legs cut up and sent to the West and East and Southern and Northers borders to show all what they will get. The rest of this POS should be chopped up until nothing is left of him.

Gosh, AP, that seems like a bit of a violent punishment for a man of God to suggest. Whatever happened to kindness, understanding, and forgiveness?
I certainly don't condone the behavior that was demonstrated in the Capitol riot, but I can plainly see what inspired it. I look at the condition of our country right now and wonder who, other than our government, could be responsible for it? No one that I can think of, and neither you nor I could fix it alone. Let's find a better way than was tried in January.

I agree with you Kit. I find it hard to look at the present political situation objectively so I just try to step back and try not to contribute to the chaos, and not always successfully. I find it hard to avoid a tendency to obsess when it comes to the present political environment, and find it troubling to allow it to trigger so much negative discussion and occupy my thoughts to the extent that it does. It is hardly a positive attribute. I recently had a general discussion with a friend over coffee about the present divided political environment that we are presently living in. We decided that kindness and tolerance for others with differing opinions is a virtue, and that the negative thoughts and resentment for those who's opinions differ from our own is can be described as nothing short of an "affliction." Two sayings come to mind. "this too shall pass" and "let go and let God." I for one hope that this turmoil WILL pass, and some level of peace and unity WILL be restored. I think we all hold some level of resentment against someone at times, but I try not to let resentment lead to wishing for bad things to happen to those I resent. I find that it is sometimes hard to deal with resentment WITHOUT wishing that a million sand fleas would infest the pubic hair of those with whom I disagree. A certain level of disagreement and conflict is inherent in a two party system of government, but I can't ever remember the climate in DC being so dangerously incendiary and divided. There have always been partisan political battles waged in congress, But I never have seen it reach this level. I certainly worry about the potential outcomes of the present uproar and hatred being displayed, and whether there will be any peaceful resolution or return to a government of the people, by the people, and most importantly FOR the people. One can only hope that it never again reaches a point where it boils over into another such rebellion as what took place on January 6th, and I hope that future rioting, burning, and violent protests in our streets is met with and quelled by a strong and effective force by law enforcement, or military if it becomes necessary. My thoughts the last couple of days have been plagued with apprehension as the jury deliberates the fate of Kyle Rittenhouse. An innocent verdict may well trigger rioting in the streets and we could once again see burning, looting, and destruction in the streets of Kenosha Wisconsin, as well as other cities around the nation.

Rittenhouse was found not guilty on all charges, which I agree with.
As far as that QNUT, he got what he deserved. People died from those animals rioting. But, it's a damn shame that the three piece suits who engineered the riot are walking free with no charges pending & living large on a golf course as the suckers who beleved there lies are rotting in jail. More evidence that in many cases if you're rich & powerful you can get away with anything, even a coup attempt.
If that crew is ever returned to power they will do it again because why shouldn't they? They got away with it this time.
