I keep getting offers on my new computer to upgrade to Windows 11 for free. My computer came with Windows 10 installed on it. Has anyone used Windows 11, and if so do you like it and what are the pros verses any drawbacks?

There was just a huge Windows update I got. Took four days. Each day after I was to shut down my computer the download for that day was installed the first one took three hours. Another short install happened last night. Don't know what it was all about.

For me, I am not rushing into it. There are already reports of problems.

I was sort of thinking along that same line CB, but wanted to know if it were something that someone else on here had downloaded and how they liked it. I have jumped on things like this only to spend more time reversing the actions than I did to install it.

I can't think of anything bad that will happen if I wait for a week or two.

A few people have told me that every other version of Windows is a bummer. Windows 10 (which I use) seems to be okay and I'm leery about a new version.

The more I read the more I find myself content with Windows 10 for now. I have learned to find my way around with it and probably don't have any valid reason to update. Heck, I had Windows 7 on my laptop and kept it until it was obsolete and I couldn't get any updates anymore. I finally decided that the laptop was obsolete too. Remedy? Best Buy for recycling. Life is much easier with an I-pad.

Exactly. After reading further I find that a lot of the stuff that Windows 11 does, I don't use anyway. I will be sticking with Windows 10 for now.

I just bought a new Dell 15 3000. It has Windows 10, which I'm used to. Like Clipper, I'll wait until the last minute before upgrading to Windows 11. I need to hear the feedback form those who have 11.
My Windows experience started with Vista. It wasn't the greatest, having just moved from Apple. Then there was Windows 7. I liked that a lot and still have a computer that uses it. Next, I got a tablet with Windows 8... definitely a bummer. Then came Windows 10 which I'm used to and like. If history repeats itself, Windows 11 may turn out to be a bummer as well. I don't want to take that chance right now. I'll stick with 10 for a while.

I started out with an older computer some friends gave me. It had windows 95, since then I have downloaded Windows 98,2000,XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8, and 10. The only operating system I ever had any real grief from was Window's 8. Looking at all the new features that come with Windows 11 I really don't see anything that really excites me. But I will eventually end up downloading it when it has gone through it's trial by fire.
