I was in WM this morning. The garden center is now lit up with Xmas trees with lites & holiday decor filling the shelves. They haven't started piping in White Christmas & Jingle Bells just yet.

I stopped at the dollar store today and the Halloween stuff was almost gone and it's only the fifth. Christmas crap? Lots of it and the first display inside the door is Christmas cards. Walgreens also has their seasonal aisle equally divided between Halloween and Christmas. Pretty soon they will be taking down the Fourth of July stuff and stocking the Christmas crap in Early August.

Yup Walmart was ready to go on Saturday. God Bless them. Profit rules the world. Watch what happens near December all the New Years stuff comes out and at the same time the Christmas Center becomes the Easter Bunny. I feel sorry for the baby Jesus he is not yet born and everyone is ready to crucify him and allow him to rise again. Oh well we can look forward to Valentines Day and good ole St Patrick's Day.

I was at the two different Dollar Tree stores today looking for their Awesome Orange all purpose cleaner. Neither store had it in stock. The cleaning products shelves across the back of the store were getting pretty sparse. Both stores said that they haven't had a truck in over a month.
The shelves may be pretty bare from now until Christmas and after. I read today that part of what is causing the back up in LA is a shortage of trucks and drivers. California passed a law that no longer allows owner/operators to haul the containers. Only large companies can pull cargo out of the port, and then only with tractors that are less than 10 yrs old. Companies aren't investing in new trucks because diesel trucks will not be able to be sold in another 10 yrs in California.

They're predicting artificial Xmas trees will be in short supply this year. So a lot of people will be hitting the tree farms for a real tree. Which is a good thing for local businesses & the enviroment.
The could have shipped tons of goods on our own canal system from N.Y.C. up the Hudson all the way to the Great Lakes but Albany ran the canal into the ground. It's a shame.

I have a ceramic tree that is about 18 inches high and lights up with colored lites. I put it on window sill on xmas day. That's enough decorations for me. Looks like this It does the job. That is if I remember to take it out.

We have one of those. Kathy made it in ceramic's class many years ago. We put out three Christmas trees and a beautiful jade nativity set. Animated Santa parks next to the TV on the stand, and a blow molded Santa face goes on the back door while a large lighted wreath get hung on the lattice adjacent to the door.
Kathy puts the ceramic tree on the hutch in the kitchen, my mom and dad's 3 foot fiber optic lighted tree is on a stand in the living room and we also put up the 7 foot pre-lighted tree in the corner. We listen to Christmas CDs in the kitchen while we eat or while Kathy is working out there. We have an under the cabinet Bose Wave radio/cd player and she likes to play it at a low volume while we eat breakfast or while she is cooking or working in the kitchen.

I also put up my Willow Tree Nativity Set. I bought the complete set in stages and it cost me well over $200. I like that the characters and animals do not have faces. So those who look at them can determine their own meaning cocogifts.com.au/willow-tree-figurines-have-no-faces/
