www.theepochtimes.com/mkt_breakingnews/antibodies-persist-for-more-than-a-year-after-covid-19-infection-study-finds_4029278.html?fbclid=IwAR1lsuXAofQALk_X_zhOR74cxbseoSr-e5ua8GP3tCyzSLD_wd5hkiX5ZgoAnother study and another theory. Sometimes it just seems to add to the controversy over the necessity to receive a vaccine or a booster. Every day there are more and more conflicting opinions concerning immunity, the necessity to be immunized, and the ever present question as to how long the immunity will last, as well as the effectiveness of vaccine induced immunity vs natural immunity acquired by those who have had the virus and recovered. As for me? I am immunized as well as having natural antibodies after having had the virus. I still will most likely get a booster when Moderna boosters are available and approved. Having watched Kathy almost die from the virus, not once, but twice, I will subscribe to ANY insurance against getting it again. I consider myself fortunate that I had only mild symptoms when I had the virus, and fortunate that I didn't contract it again when Kathy had it the second time.

think we will be getting booster shots maybe every 6 months as long as this thing mutates and as long as it has non immunized people as hosts. We passed 700,000 deaths in USA I am thinking we will approach a million before this thing is over. Thanks the non vaxed for that since it is their body there choice to be infected and also to infect others. Shame on them. They need to be stopped somehow...

We are going to Kathy's dermatologist this afternoon to get the biopsy results from the two skin cancer growths she had removed From her arm before she came down with Covid again. Hard to tell but we have always thought that it was there that she was exposed to and contracted the virus again. We were the only ones in the entire office wearing masks. Neither other patients or the doctor and staff had on a mask. That was the only time she had been out of the house in a couple of weeks and the only place she went. Of course I could have brought it home. I do all the shopping and traveling about, but I in turn tested negative. We are a bit apprehensive about visiting the office again. Wish us luck.
The only other thing on the agenda is a trip to Abingdon Va, about 20 miles from us, to pick up a pneumatic brad nail gun that I found on Marketplace. The one I have was an inexpensive model and after 3 or 4 years it has worn out and jams quite often. I told Kathy it have used air operated nail guns for so long I don't know if I could drive a nail or brad straight with a hammer anymore or not, haha. I have become spoiled by modern technology. I use screws that I drive with a cordless electric drill/driver and nails and brads driven with an air gun.

I think I would bring it to the attention of that Dr. that Kathy probably caught COVID in his office. Just sayin.

I think that if I had a job that exposed me to people, whether it was a Dr.'s office, Walmart or a school, I would wear a mask right now. No one has good numbers on what the re-infection rates will be. We will have some numbers after this winter and make a better evaluation next year.

We went to Kathy's dermatologist today. We told her that Kathy had breakthrough Covid since she was there for the biopsy. She asked if we were vaccinated. When we told her yes she went on this long winded dissertation on vaccinated people being infected because the vaccine has Covid virus in it and that the more vaccine doses you take the more risk you take of having Covid. She said don't take a booster. She recommends just taking vitamin D, B12, zinc, and several other vitamins. She said that she is just careful about her diet and fitness and has avoided the virus. Great advice Doc! WTH! YOU are not 82 yrs old with a severely compromised respiratory system. Thank god she is a great dermatologist and NOT a family practitioner or primary care doctor.
The biopsy showed that Kathy's growth was squamous cell carcinoma. She has to have radiation treatments. The process is called IG-SRT. (image guided superficial radiation therapy) She has to have 3 treatments a week for 7 weeks. The treatments only take about 15 minutes from start to finish, but we have to drive 20 miles each way every other day for 7 weeks. Cure rate is 97-99%.

Sorry to hear about Kathy's skin problem, but it looks like it will be taken care of in the end with the treatments.
As for the vaccine having the virus in it, that's just pure BS. You may want a second opinion on her qualifications after that!

Cancer treatment improves every year. Barb has already made our appointments for a COVID booster for us. I read a lot of comments on news articles but I have given up on trying to inform the nut jobs. They are too numerous and my remaining years of life are too few to make a dent.

First that dermatologist needs to be reported to the State License Medical Board for spread misleading untruthful information concerning the COVID virus and the vaccine. New Approach to Vaccines mRNA vaccines are a new type of vaccine to protect against infectious diseases. To trigger an immune response, many vaccines put a weakened or inactivated germ into our bodies. Not mRNA vaccines. Instead, they teach our cells how to make a protein—or even just a piece of a protein—that triggers an immune response inside our bodies. That immune response, which produces antibodies, is what protects us from getting infected if the real virus enters our bodies. www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/different-vaccines/mRNA.htmlI am also sorry to hear of the skin cancer I wish Kathy well My Shelty had squamous cell carcinoma. Was on her nose! Doctor thought it was from walking her on grass that had been treated for insects etc. I never let her walk on lawns that had that tag on them left by the chemical company treating it. This goes way to 1985.

You may want a second opinion on her qualifications after that! No doubt about her knowledge being flawed. She IS a great dermatologist and she came highly recommended by Kathy's Primary Care doctor. Her practice is the only on in the area that is licensed and trained to do the radiation regimen and procedure that she is going to receive.
