I was under the impression early on in the emergency approval process that they stated that Pfizer was most effective, but now there is an report on WKTV that says Pfizer is 77% effective in keeping people out of the hospital while Moderna is said to be 93% effective. www.wktv.com/content/news/Modernas-vaccine-is-the-most-effective-but-Pfizer-and-JJ-also-protect-well-CDC-led-study-says-575337211.htmlI received the Moderna vaccine at the VA last spring while some people were waiting for the opportunity to get Pfizer. Me personally? I was in favor of getting whatever I could get when I could get it. The sooner the better. They are also now saying that while young people do not need to get a booster, older folks with pre-existing health issues ARE urged to get the third shot. I am going to wait until the dust settles and some sort of determination has been made as to whether it actually is necessary and without serious risk of side effects as a result of having a third vaccination.

Moderna is more effective that Pfizer in preventing hospitalizations. We can still get infected regardless of vaccination status.
Also now only people 65 and older after 6 months will need the booster shot because in that large age group antibodies wane with time. So does that mean after 6 months time from the booster shot will we need another booster shot!!!! As long as we have unvaccinated people walking around do everything vaccinated people do the virus will keep mutating.
