Check out the story about the dairy cow birthing exhibit at the state fair featuring Terri DiNitto of DiNitto farms in Marcy. Go to the Rome Sentinel homepage and check out the article about the dairy cow birthing center at the state fair. I couldn't get the link to load with a photo from the article. Terry was one of the earliest and original members of the forum. I am sure the Kit and CB remember her as "country gal" from our first little get together at Denny's in N. Utica the first year the forum existed. She and I have remained friends ever since. Kathy and I stopped to see her at the farm a few years ago, and she and I keep in touch regularly on FB. She is a very active advocate for dairy farming and for educating people about dairy farming as well as the struggles farmers face today. www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=nJSHyeia&id=A55FE684A7EC8BBA27C67CD5A5B258656FE5938A&thid=OIP.nJSHyeiadlW5w6CgN6MMjwAAAA&mediaurl=https%3a%2f%2fromesentinel.com%2fuploads%2fthumbnail%2f20210424-064318-One of her many projects is promoting and organizing "Farm Fest" every year, along with other local farms that take turns hosting the event. It has always been a favorite field trip for local elementary school students, and if there is an opportunity to promote dairy products she will be there, front and center, whether it be exhibiting and showing cows at the state fair and Oneida county fair with her two sons, or taking part in in-store promotions at local supermarkets. She is a little dynamo who stays extremely busy as a farm wife, mother to two sons, a substitute teacher, as well as an active spokes person for anything dairy and as a breast cancer survivor. If you happen to attend one of the local fairs or see one of the promotions at a supermarket stop and say hi.
