www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/kabul-airport-explosion-hits-crowd-amid-afghan-evacuations/ar-AANLzDs?li=BBnb7KzThe failing and chaotic Biden evacuation plan has predictably only begun to cost lives and leave many Americans without a way out. Why did we pull the majority of our troops out BEFORE civilian contractors and Afghan supporters of our mission? I guess I just don't understand how a political deadline became more important than lives. We don't get any do-over. If we send troops back in they will be severely outnumbered at this point with Taliban OWNING most of the country and having a strong foothold on the capitol. I think it was a big mistake to hand over Bagram AFB. It stood alone and was not part of a civilian airport and was much better suited logistically to evacuating those needing to evacuate many of whom were not geographically in a position to move to Kabul to be flown out. There is no way to salvage any progress that was made over 20 yrs. Afghanistan will now be a festering boil on the butt of the free world, a well established home base for those that will leave no nation immune to terrorist attacks, and a humanitarian disaster with little hope for the oppressed or those we leave behind.

I too have been wondering why in hell Trump cut our troop force down to 2500 by the time he was bounced out of office. What the hell was he thinking?
