Griffiss would be put to use for military training

I see the new name, after considerable debate, is Griffiss International Airport. With all the issues Oneida County is facing, the name of the airport gets all the focus?

It would seem to me that prior to estabilishing an international airport, wouldn't you first want to ... er ... find some PASSENGERS?

It's unclear to me whether the designation "International" means a flight may arrive from Tajikistan or that you can simply catch a taxi from it to Canada.
