Back when we lost the base, I said that the Air Force would be back because of air space problems everywhere else. I was right. Now, let's just hope the dopes that are in control of Griffiss don't screw it up! I think the "dopes that are in control of Griffiss" ARE about to screw things up: strikeslip.blogspot.com/2008/08/how-bad-can-it-get.html

I remember watching the b-52s on approach roar right over my house. And on the weekends, we could see F-16s flying in formation way above. My neighbor and I would ride our bikes pretending we were flying right along with them.

Well, at least they never used Agent Orange at Griffiss.
I think.

scannerman911@yahoo.com It's not ideal, but you can listen to all Central NY emergency channels, including Griffiss. When you go to the address it automattically launches Windows Mediaplayer. Is this still available?

I just type it into my browser and it launches automatically. I didn't even think that it looks like an e-mail address. JPJ electronics website also has a link. I think that is jpje.com Try to just type it in. Let me know if you have anymore trouble.

Hmmm... I've seen a few low flying choppers over the last 4 months, here in Mohawk, but nothing bigger.
I'll never forget the time I was camping & fishing up on Lake Lila and two Harrier's flew over the lake low. We were on the island. One of the jets circled back and dropped straight down towards the lake ... yeah, screwing up the fishing ... but it was worth it. That bird looked beautiful. It came down, hovered about 12-15 feet off the water, and went back up and took off on its way. They probably didn't even know we were there. That was 1983.

The link on jpje.com goes to a site that does nothing but display this (at least for me):
<ASX version="3.0> <Entry> <ref HREF="http://67.242.2.254:8080"/> </Entry> </ASX>

Hmmm... I've seen a few low flying choppers over the last 4 months, here in Mohawk, but nothing bigger. I have black helicopters hovering over my house all the time. They don't have any markings on them. But I quickly put on my helmet made of aluminum foil and they usually disappear after a few minutes. Remember, just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.
