Took advantage of the sale Amazon is running for Prime members this week & decided to buy an air fryer. Ordered the Nuwave 6 qt. model & got it for $99. with free shipping which will be here Monday. We could have had it Friday but we may be staying at a friends camp for a couple days & we don't want it sitting out on our front step for a couple days. I hope it comes with recipe book because we've never used one before.

It will come with a recipe book but there are unlimited recipes to be found online along with tables of temperatures and times for meats and other dishes. There are also air fryer cookbooks and even a couple of magazines available that I have seen in places like Ollie's Outlet and near the air fryers at Target. We have the Air Fryer Oven with the rotisserie basket and spit and I often have to look online for times and temperatures for things I haven't cooked before. They now have a breading especially formulated for the air fryer and an olive oil mister becomes your friend for keeping things crisp and juicy. We do steaks in ours when I don't feel like rolling out the gas grill and they come out great. Things like frozen fries, chicken tenders, salmon, make for a quick supper, and to roast a whole chicken or two Cornish hens on a spit comes out much better than store bought rotisserie items. We also bake biscuits and cinnamon rolls for breakfast occasionally. You can literally watch them rise and brown in a matter of minutes. Cooking with it will be quick and easy and experimenting with different things is fun. Roasted vegetables are one of my favorite things to do in it. Zucchini sliced lengthwise, spritzed with oil and sprinkled with garlic powder or herbs, Brussels sprouts cut in half and drizzled with balsamic and roasted until they begin to brown are delicious.
