It seems to me that this arrest has to be only the beginning of an investigation into where a person managed to acquire such a large quantity of opioids to sell as well as well as who was the source or printer of the counterfeit money. I could be wrong, but I somehow doubt that Mr. Pagan is the only player involved. I put Mr. Pagan's name into the search block on Facebook and was shocked to find that we had two mutual Facebook friends, both whom are probably as shocked by the arrest as I was by their name popping up on his Facebook page. I guess we never really know what our friends and neighbors might be involved in.
Many years ago, when I was still living in the North country I hunted with a group of brothers and other acquaintances I knew from the area. Several years later I picked up the newspaper and read that one of the group had been arrested, convicted, and sentenced to a long prison term. It turns out that the sick SOB had been regularly molesting his 14 yr old step daughter for 6 or 7 yrs. A guy who worked behind the counter at the bowling alley at night and managed a local fast food franchise was arrested for selling pills out of the bowling alley to support his wife's drug habit. His wife went to jail for a spell and he was sentenced to probation and community service. She worked in a doctor's office and was writing prescriptions from a stolen prescription pad. In another instance there was a Baptist minister that bowled for several years on leagues that I bowled on. He was a well liked and respected fellow until he was arrested on a warrant for peddling child pornography and had a computer loaded with hundreds of videos of children being sexually abused. We never know what nefarious and vile activity may be going on in the lives of those we think we know fairly well.
