Fully vaccinated people are 60% of the population but only 30% of the cases. The initial test results back in December had all of the vaccines at around 70% effective so that is not far off. It would be interesting to know which vaccines were used there and if effectiveness varied by manufacturer.

I hope that their projections become a reality. They have relaxed all the mandates here and did away with the masking requirements, bans on large groups, and unrestricted attendance at sporting events is now allowed. I have been a bit worried that opening things wide open again would cause a huge surge that could put us back in a lockdown and claim many more victims.
In the mean time I will continue to wear my mask and will continue to be cautious when out among others in public places.

A combination of the complacent and the hesitant are certainly slowing the progress in getting things under some semblance of control, and return to some level of normalcy.
I read a post from an anti vaccine person yesterday saying that the vaccine can leave a man impotent, and a woman unable to get pregnant. With me in my mid 70's and Kathy in her early 80's I think that is one concern that I can put aside in favor of LIVING a long and happy life. LOL

I read a post from an anti vaccine person yesterday saying that the vaccine can leave a man impotent, and a woman unable to get pregnant. With me in my mid 70's and Kathy in her early 80's I think that is one concern that I can put aside in favor of LIVING a long and happy life. LOL Anyone who believes that nonsense & refuses to get vaccinated against a deadly virus that they can spread & possibly kill someone else shouldn't be allowed to breed in the first place. |

wait! I thought of a new storyline: The Breeders against the anti breeders!! The antivaxers will be the only ones left in the human race who can have sex, so they will eventually over breed, while the impotent, infertile vaccinated get old and die off. Thus this eventually creates a new super race of of Breeders ( antivaxers), who fall to fighting over who is the most potent, and over time exterminate each other. End of story for the human race. Covid wins. Herd stupidity dominates the day and God has to start over again.
