www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/454283692330866/?referralSurface=messenger_lightspeed_banner&referralCode=messenger_bannerFinally found a motorhome that suits our needs and likes. We have traveled all over hells half acre and this one was about 8 miles up the road on the Virginia side of Bristol. Go figure. This one showed up on Facebook market place last night and I made arrangements to see it this morning. It is only a 2002, but it was purchased new by the couple we bought it from. New Michelin tires last fall, new battery a couple weeks ago, new roof membrane two years ago, brand new refrigerator last fall ( has never had food in it yet), brand new upgraded queen mattress, Onanan 4000 watt generator, two tv's, and a satellite set up and dish if we decide to subscribe to the service. They left everything in it for us. Dishes, cookware, linens, and all the extras that they had in there (toaster, mixer, coffee maker, etc.) There are also two 10x10 pop up shelters such as one would set up over a picnic table, 6 folding lawn chairs, and and 2 8x10 outdoor patio rugs.(they had enough rug to cover half the campsite, haha) 2 bug zappers, 2 propane lanterns, I will have to weed out some of the stuff we got with it. If they needed one of something it seems he would buy two. If we wanted to go camping tomorrow all we would need to do is put a few clothes in the closet and food in the fridge. He was asking 20K and I talked him down to 17k because we had cash. Went to the bank, got a bank check, and went back and drove it home. I felt rather bad for those folks. He has spent all that money replacing parts and accessories that needed replacing due to age, got the motorhome in prime condition and then ended up with serious health issues as a result of a stroke over the winter.

Today we need to clean out our personal belongings from our trailer so we can put THAT up for sale. Right now I have to park down at the lower end of the driveway because we have a 32 foot motorhome on one side of the driveway and a 28 foot trailer on the other. Sheesh. Hoping to sell the trailer for 14K. It is a 2016 model. If we are able to sell the trailer for 14K we will only have 3K in the motor home.

The good news just keeps on coming. My next door neighbor said today that he might want to buy our trailer to put out at the lake on a permanent site. Bringing his wife over to look at it tomorrow.

We went and registered it today. It was a bit of a shock to find that the sales tax came to $1314. I guess we are used to buying from a dealer and the dealer takes care of all those details such as taxes and tags while just including it in the bottom, out the door, price.
The guy we bought it from is coming down Wednesday to take out some of the electronic gadgetry that he has wires running all over like cobwebs to provide power to it all. The tangle of wires and coaxes is really over abundant for my liking.
